Carrots are a great first taste as they are naturally sweet. This recipe is suitable for 4 months+ and is a great option for spoon fed weaning.
Makes approximately 3 portions. Suitable for freezing.
Ingredients
- 1 large carrot
- Breast or formula milk
Method
Peel and chop the carrot into slices then boil for 6-8 minutes until really soft.
Drain and place into a baby blender with 4-6 tablespoons of breast or formula milk.
Blitz into a smooth purée adding more milk if required.
Check the temperature of the purée against your lip before feeding your baby.
